PASS RATE
Until recently, the DSA (Driving Standards Agency) sent all instructors (on a yearly basis) details of their performance. The national pass rate for all driving instructors throughout the years has been around the 40-43% mark. My pass rate has consistently been WELL ABOVE this figure (up to double) - this is provable, as I keep all my DSA review sheets.
Since I have been in business (1990), the vast majority of my pupils have passed at their first or second attempt. The maximum number of tests ever taken by any pupil has been four.
All Driving Standards Agency Instructors are assessed on a regular basis by the government, and are graded from 1 (lowest grading) up to 6 (highest possible grading). I am presently Grade 5, and have been highly graded since 1999.
Any good instructor should be willing to provide proof of their grading and results, as listed above!
